Marissa has an extensive background in Dual Special Need Programs with an emphasis on Medicare and Medicaid recipients, Case Management, Transitional Placement and Healthcare Navigation.
Her expertise includes geriatric and disabled populations for accessibility to Medicaid Long Term Care services, networking, care coordination of individualized needs through assessments.
Currently, holds several social work licenses in the following states: Florida, Alabama, Kentucky (pending), Texas (pending) and Louisiana.
Marissa is a board member of The Character Center as a parent liaison for the last three years. Additionally, she is the co-founder of Lauryn Brown Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to influencing African American high school students to further their education, which ultimately combats disparities seen among at-risk populations and under-served communities.
An alumni of Florida State University with a Bachelor and Master degrees in Social Work.
